Join Our Committee.

West Footscray Neighbourhood House (WFNH) is governed by a Committee of Governance made up of people who live in our local community. Being on the committee is a voluntary role.

WFNH is committed to community ownership and civic participation.

The Committee of Governance:

Establishes our mission and vision
Identifies the organisation’s core values
Defines the organisation’s programs and services
Provides financial oversight and ensures the organisation meets its legal and financial requirements
Together with the House Manager develops appropriate risk management practices and policies
Selects leaders for management positions

Meetings

The committee meets in the evening bi-monthly on a weekday.

How to Apply

Put your hand up at our annual general meeting in November which is when we call for nominees (we will have nomination forms, and members are voted in to serve one year terms). Please feel free to contact the house for information prior to the meeting.

To express your interest in any casual vacancies the committee might have, please drop into the house or call us and leave your details. Alternatively send an email to enquiries@wfnh.org.au. A current committee member will be in touch to talk with you about the committee, answer any questions you may have, and invite you to observe a meeting before making a commitment.

Become a Member.

Becoming a member is a great way to become more involved and support our services and programs.

Membership costs $7 per year and we will send you an invoice. You will be able to pay by direct deposit or over the phone.
